The highlight of our year is an Oscars-style awards ceremony attended by hundreds of “In Bloomers”. All entrants get together expectantly on one afternoon in early September to discover how their efforts have matched up against equivalent-sized entries across the region. It is almost possible to reach out and touch the air of anticipation!
Courtesy of our sponsor, a star guest is photographed with all our winners. The photography is distributed by Southern Water’s media relations team to local newspapers in the respective entrant’s area to publicise their achievement.
But the campaign is more than just the awards. South & South East in Bloom provides advice to and supports entries throughout the year and our seminar programme, talks and presentations provide specific information to individual groups and communities.
