Blooming Schools

Our Blooming Schools campaign has gone from strength to strength since it’s creation and this year has seen 132 schools enter our competition.

SSEIB is here to work with schools to encourage understanding the environment, sustainability, water conservation and growing plants, fruit and vegetables.

The judging takes place in June, with the judge spending an hour at the school being shown round (usually by a member of staff and some children) on a date agreed between you, this gives the pupils a chance to show off their hard work. Children are usually over the moon to tell our judges about what they have been up to. It is a brilliant way to support the work you are already doing in your school.

All schools receive a certificate and a report regardless of the level of the school, from those just starting out to those who are old hands. The judge will provide helpful advice on how to move forward.
